For those who do not know, the Mozarts Effect is a study that shows while listening to Mozart’s music one receives a short-term improvement in their capabilities.īut, I found a flaw in there correlation with Mozarts Effect. But, a study shows that music is beneficial when studying. A study done by Elana Goodwin states, “ Studies have shown that listening to music before studying or performing a task can be beneficial as it improves attention, memory, and even your ability to do mental math as well as helping lessen depression and anxiety.” The researchers typically compare this to the Mozarts Effect. I tried to listen to music while studying and could not focus on the task at hand. Since I never understood the meaning for this interesting study habit, I researched whether music leads to better results for those that listen to it. I never really understood the reasoning of listening to music while studying because it is another voice in your head that takes away the sole purpose of memorization. But, when I walk around the commons I notice more people than not wearing headphones and studying. Those ways are typically the way I study. A study shows the most effective study habits include practicing by yourself, memory games, and going to your own quiet place. A certain study habit is more effective for someone in comparison to others because all brains work differently when trying to integrate memorization or muscle memory. The app’s success led to major social media platforms, like TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat, scrambling to clone the app within their own products to capitalize on the popularity. While sitting down to study in the Findlay Commons I look around and notice all the different study habits between students. The photo-sharing app was quite popular last year and took social media by storm through its bid to provide users with a more authentic photo feed compared with the curated aesthetic found on Instagram. The integration comes at a time when the hype around BeReal is significantly slowing down. The companies plan to bring the integration to more countries in the future. Starting today, BeReal and Spotify users on Android and iOS in select markets, including Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and the U.S., can access the integration. Combining audio from Spotify with BeReal adds another layer of authentic personalization and connection to your BeReal.” “BeReal is designed to capture and share authentic moments in your daily life with your closest friends. It also creates the playlist for your everyday life,” Spotify wrote in a blog post. “Spotify was built for moments of everyday inspiration, discovery, and interactivity. If your friends’ posts include audio, you’ll be able to listen to a preview of what they’ve shared. You’ll see the cover art of the audio you’re listening to at the bottom of your camera lens. Once your accounts are connected, the app will automatically pull in the song or podcast you’re listening to on Spotify at the time you capture a BeReal. Or, you can navigate to your settings in the BeReal app and tap on “music” and follow the prompts to connect the app to Spotify. You can connect your Spotify and BeReal accounts by tapping on the music icon that’s shown before posting a BeReal. Spotify says its integration with the company adds another layer of authenticity to the daily posts. BeReal encourages users to take a photo everyday at a random time with their front and back camera in order to show an authentic version of themselves. Spotify is launching a new integration with BeReal that lets users include in their BeReal post what they’re listening to on Spotify.
